Calling into conversation female sexuality and the natural process of reproduction, “Pieces” critiques how the woman’s achievement of pleasure should be further incorporated and accepted by today’s male-dominated society as a part of the act that is heterosexual sex. A man's achievement of pleasure is literally essential to reproduction; a fact that has set a woman's needs behind men's for centuries. Puzzles are also worked into the piece to continue the idea in a more visually interpretable style, depicting the literal intention of two pieces coming together in a perfect fit to create one.
